What inspired you to start your blog?: I started my blog in 2007 after seeing girls (particularly Rumi) post their outfits on FabSugar’s Look of the Day. I thought, “Hey, I can do that too!” So I did.
Sites you must visit daily: Refinery29, coco+kelley, The Man Repeller
Favorite Designer: Marc Jacobs and a lot of Diane von Furstenberg’s stuff
Trend/item you’re loving right now: Currently, I’m into the really relaxed-put-together look. Something along the lines of luxurious pajamas. And mixing textures, always.
Who is your style icon and why?: I’m not sure I have a style icon. Victoria Beckham is always impeccable, but her looks aren’t everyday wearable, just something to strive for.
What is your dream fashion purchase?: A pair of YSL Tribute sandals.
What is the most beloved item in your wardrobe?: Right now, I’m in love with my new Theyskens’ Theory top. Its color and texture make it feel absolutely regal. I also have this go-to black strapless body-con dress that’s perfect for anything from themed parties to fancy weddings.
You’re spending an afternoon shopping in the city of your choice. What’s the city and itinerary?: The city is New York. The itinerary starts in SoHo and ends on the Upper West Side. We hit everything from grungy boutiques to 5th Avenue to flea markets.
If you could own the wardrobe of any film or TV character whose would it be? Tough question! Casino comes to mind, where Sharon Stone wears the most ridiculously intricate gowns and Vegas attire.
The ultimate accessory is… a killer pair of heels. Hands down.
What advice can you give to anyone who is thinking of starting their own blog?: Stick it out, be yourself and don’t get discouraged by lulls in the process. If you’re truly passionate, you’re not in it for the fame anyway.
