LOOKBOOK.nu & Gap Black Jeans Contest

I want to enter! I am getting more and more interested and inspired by consumer content marketing and joint marketing efforts by two business platforms… and more importantly the consumers themselves. So many inspiring people.

Any other bloggers or fashion fiends want to enter with me? We can take each others’ pictures :) and drink margaritas. Contest ends 10/22.

SHOW US YOUR BLACK JEANS!

Gap wants the LOOKBOOK.nu community to prove that Black Jeans are back! With Blues dominating the landscape right now, it’s time for something new, but classic.

To enter the contest, all you have to do is submit a look showing off your style with Black Jeans. To be eligible to win, you must also include one or more pieces of Gap clothing. Only one Gap item is necessary to qualify. (Bonus points: tells us why you love the jeans you’re wearing and tell us how you put your look together.)

Winners will be chosen by Gap based on creativity, originality, and presentation, and the 3 winning looks will earn a $300, $200, and $100 USD gift card to Gap.com or any Gap store in the world!

Additionally, notable entries submitted throughout the contest may also appear on the Gap1969 Stream.

FASHION, RETAIL, SOCIAL MEDIA & TECHNOLOGY STUFF I LUV FROM MY TWITTER

I’ve been ridiculously busy reading up on so many news articles lately that I haven’t had time to write anything cool. But so many cool things are happening!!! I have mixed feelings of ambitious chasing and being left behind when it comes to fashion, retail, social media & technology. I don’t want to skip a beat but there are just too many players out there on the hustle. I don’t have time to write about them all, and I’ve been tweeting up a storm that none of these links stay on my site for more than 24 hours. I went through my tweets and hand picked some of my faves :)

Enjoy!

A Sneak Peek at LOVE’s New iPad App http://fashionista.com/2010/08/a-sneak-peek-at-loves-new-ipad-app/

HOLLER: Wal-Mart Cuts iPhone 3GS Price in Half

Wal-Mart has cut the price of the most up-to-date iPhone in half! That’s another sign Apple is getting ready to unveil a new model. Late fall, I’m assuming, just in time for the holidays when most retailers make about 40% of their entire year’s profits. Oh, these retailers, they’ve got us consumers on strings and make us prance around like puppets.

Anywho, I have been getting more and more sucked into this whole techy, geeky, bloggy, social media, on my phone 24/7 scene. Sometimes, I will wake up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and have the urge to check my twitter… yikes!

My contract is expiring soon with T-Mobile, I think July, and yes, I am hopping into the iPhone bandwagon. You cannot beat 97 dollas for an iPhone 3GS 16 Gigs at Walmart, don’t mind if I do. My addiction will be two-fold once I get my hands on this.

If You Can’t Beat ‘Em — Join ‘Em: Kindle for iPad App Now Available Globally

Smart move Amazon. Amazon.com, Inc. today announced its Kindle App for iPad is now available in all countries where the iPad is offered. The Kindle app is optimized for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, providing users the ability to read Kindle books.

“We’re thrilled to make Kindle for iPad available to readers around the world,” said Jay Marine, director, Amazon Kindle. “Kindle for iPad includes all the features customers love about Kindle for iPhone, including great selection and synchronization of their books across a variety of Kindle apps, along with a beautiful new user interface tailored to the look and feel of iPad. Kindle for iPad is the perfect companion for the millions of customers who already own a Kindle or Kindle DX, and a way for customers to download and enjoy books even if they don’t yet have a Kindle.”
